[edit] The Founder

Its founder Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, is a former IAS officer of the 1980 batch, renowned for his integrity as well as efficiency and a people's activist from Andhra Pradesh, India. He quit his job late in 1996 following a highly impressive track record. What is special about Jayaprakash is that he left his IAS job not because he was disenchanted or disillusioned. On the other hand, he had a highly distinguished as well as eventful 16-year-long career in the government. Highly respected in the state for his result-oriented administration, Jayaprakash, an optimistic individual, talks about the efficacy of reforms in the governance among several other issues. He firmly believes that democracy is for the people, of the people and by the people. He states that his group or party is aimed to enrich the political scenario in India with its true spirit, thereby aiming to create a true and faithful political picture in India. He purportedly said "Every individual has certain strengths and capabilities. My aim is to create such an environment that every one of us can use their capabilities completely and get a perfect outcome for their productivity."[citation needed] He is famously known as a person with certainty in thoughts and reality in work. His speeches and articles invarious news papers are thought provoking.
