The Loiterers Resistance Movement [LRM] is an international movement combining anarchism, the occult, psychogeography, amongst other practices. The group was founded in Manchester in 2005 by members connected to the Dragon Network, Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth, and the Discordian Society. The LRM also has some connection to former and current members of Manchester Area Psychogeographic.
[edit] Psychogeography
A major aspect of the Loiterers Resistance Movement is psychogeography. It has carried out a number of psychogeographic projects and derives in and around Manchester since its formation in 2005.
It organised the psychogeographic festival "Where Are You ?" in December 2006 which culminated in its most spectacular action so far aimed against the Beetham Tower, Manchester on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2006. The action was described as "The Shaping presents Dyschronia. Discover the mysterious forces harnessed by the monstrous Beetham Tower and the power lurking beneath.’ [1] This climax of the action was the supposedly successful dematerialization of the tower for a brief period of time in a sequel to the levitation of the Corn Exchange carried out by Manchester Area Psychogeographic ten years earlier in 1996.
