Lohaghat is a town and a nagar panchayat in Champawat district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. This place is beautiful hill station and have places like Mayavati Ashram and Abbot Mount.It is famous for bagwal fight carnival which takes place at devidhura(Maa Baarahi temple) on auspicious day of Raksha-bandhan.Near by Ritha-sahib is famous for sikh gurudwara and sweet Rithas that are unique in world and pancheshwar is famous for river-rafting and adventurous sports.Few famous tourist spots near lohaghat are Shyamlataal,Devidhura,RithaSahib,AbbotMount,Varansur fort,Mayawati Ashram, and a no. of beautifully build small temples.

As of 2001 India census[1], Lohaghat had a population of 5828. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Lohaghat has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 75%. In Lohaghat, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age. Lohaghat is a beautiful place covered by pine and deodar trees. It is a place of Lord Shiva. P. Barron had said,"why go to Kashmir, if there is heaven in the world, so its in Lohaghat". This place has a historic importance as well. Here is a fort of Banasur, who was killed by Lord krishna. 20 KM far from Lohaghatthere is place called PATI. Pati is a very beautiful place. One can find mesmerising locations like Mayavati(Advaita ashram),Abbot mount,Galchaura,Suin(Pawa),Forti viilage near Lohaghat. Apart from being a favourite destination for tourists , this place is famous for it's celebration of Holi and Janamashtmi.
