[edit] Raye and Nestor
I noticed you deleted my article; that's expected, especially since it doesn't belong in an encyclopedia at all. I just wanted to do something nice for my two best friends who finally hooked up and became a couple. I'd like to ask you two questions:
1) What does "nn-bio" mean? You wrote it as the cause for deletion. 2) Obviously you're an administrator because you deleted the page; can you please copy-and-paste the content of the deleted page and give it to me so I may always remember this pivotal day in my friend's lives?
Thanks!
--LoganK 21:57, September 4, 2005 (UTC)

- It's a reference to {{nn-bio}}, a template used to tag articles which fall under CSD A7 (Articles 7).
- I've done better; I've userfied it. It's now at User:LoganK/Raye and Nestor. Notice, however, that the image will sooner or later be deleted by the IFD people, because it does not have licensing information.

- Thanks for the info, and thanks for putting the page back up under my user. How would I release the picture to the public domain?
- --LoganK 00:39, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
- See the details at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Notice you can only do that if you are the image's copyright holder. --cesarb 01:07, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
- What would be considered as the "image's copyright holder"? My friend drew it for her and my other friend (who are going out now together, but you knew that ;-)) and released it on deviantART, but I'm sure she won't mind if I put it in the public domain. --LoganK 02:28, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Logan Kriete article
Yes, I deleted this in April. You can see everything a non-admin can see about this at Special:Undelete/Logan_Kriete, including the IP address. The deletion summary includes the first few characters of the article, which in this case was the entire article (There were a couple of paragraph breaks which don't show up in the summary).
Most people's attitude to this sort of obviously non-encyclopedic article on Wikipedia is that it's a newbie test to see whether they really can create a page. It's an insignificant part of our job to clean these things up and gently point out to the creator that there's a sandbox to use for experiments.-gadfium 18:14, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- I didn't create the article, but thanks for giving me the info!

[edit] WikiProject Free Software
Greetings, LoganK, I notice that you're interested in open-source/free software. Please consider joining WikiProject Free Software. We're just starting out, and we could really use some more members. Thanks! Geekman314(contact me) 16:53, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'll join if you want me to but I'm not a very involved member of the Wikipedia community. I edit articles occasionally but that's about my extent for right now. --LoganK 21:34, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your VandalProof Application
Dear LoganK,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Daniel 03:41, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Google-Groups.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Google-Groups.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
