Loek Hollander

Loek Hollander is a prominent karate practitioner. He began training Kyokushin Karate in the Netherlands in 1962.[1] Hollander earned his 1st Dan in 1965. After Sosai Masutatsu Oyama's passing, Kancho Shokei Matsui appointed Shihan Loek to be a regional representative for the European and African nations to which he serves today. In 1999, Kancho Matsui honored Shihan Loek with the rank of 8th Dan,[2] making him one of the highest-ranking members of the IKO Kyokushinkaikan. Shihan Hollander was the forth person ever to complete the 100-man kumite in 1967.
