User:Lockesdonkey/Israel-Palestine flags

I have developed several proposals for a united, binational Palestinian and Israeli state; the one I chose to use in general was Image:Isratine flag.PNG. If you like a particular flag, go to this subpage's talk page.
I am using this as an occasional sandbox for figuring out the vagaries of image-related wikicode; I figured that people might share my interest in flags, and I'd already made several, so I'm uploading these images (unlike generic images, I can write something meaningful about them).
The black is taken from the flag of Palestine; the blue from the flag of Israel. The red wedge represents the historical conflict and bloodshed between the Palestinians, which has turned to the peace (represented by white). The design, inspired by the 1994 flag of South Africa, symbolizes the fact that Israel physically divides Palestine, but that peace united the whole country. |
Another design; the flag represents Israelis (blue) standing side-by-side with Palestinians (black) in peace (white). Inspired by the Irish Tricolor, though I hope it doesn't end up the same way if it ever actually gets used. |
