Lockwood railway station is situated 1½ miles (2 km) from Huddersfield station on the Penistone Line between Huddersfield and Sheffield.
The station serves the Lockwood district of Huddersfield and is only a single platformed station. Train services are provided by the Northern Rail franchise.
The train line to Sheffield from Lockwood passes over the valley by a viaduct to Berry Brow. Below the viaduct is the Huddersfield Rugby Union Club at Lockwood Park, situated in the former Bass Brewery works, which has now closed down.
[edit] Services
There is an hourly service to Huddersfield and Sheffield Monday to Saturdays and two-hourly on Sundays.
