Dennis is a new inmate in a prison in Germany. He has to quickly get used to the institutional abuse that is rife. He notices out of the window of his cell a black man, Mike who turns out to be English, working in the gardens and is attracted to him. The two begin an illicit relationship trying to avoid the guards or other inmates finding out and overcoming the language barrier.
