Lochbuie (Scottish Gaelic: Locha Buidhe) is an isolated settlement on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. Perhaps its most noted residents have been George Sassoon (author, linguist; and son of poet and author Siegfried Sassoon) and Siegfried's wife, the former Hester Gatty. The small mountain of Ben Buie is on the Sassoon land. It is the part of Mull perhaps most suited to the island's nickname "the Officer's Mess" due to such inhabitants.
