Local Hero is Mark Knopfler's soundtrack album for the 1983 film Local Hero, produced by David Putnam, written and directed by Bill Forsyth.
Rolling Stone magazine (5/26/83 - RS No. 396) commented: "...result is an insinuating LP of charming, cosmopolitan soundtrack music – a record that can make movies in your mind."
Newcastle United currently run out onto the pitch for home games at St. James' Park to "Going Home."
