[edit] Adult Contemporary Radio Stations

These stations played an Adult Contemporary Music format:

C93FM was originally a Classic Rock station but after RadioWorks decided to network The Rock into Christchurch the music format was changed, this station was shut down in 2001. Y99.3 FM changed to an Easy Listening format when it was rebranded as The Breeze. The other stations were rebranded as More FM in 2004.

[edit] Easy Listening Stations

All of these stations were rebranded as The Breeze in 2004 but were kept as separate local stations from the original The Breeze station in Wellington.

[edit] Other Stations

These stations were not affected by the rebranding of LocalWorks stations to More FM or The Breeze, however Big River Radio has simulcast with Dunedin's 4XO (now More FM) in recent years outside of the breakfast show.

[edit] Playlist Centralising

In March 2003 RadioWorks made a decision to introduce a centralised playlist onto the majority of the LocalWorks stations. The centralised playlist was introduced to create a standard in the music played on each station, this change meant that essentially all stations would play the same songs. During the middle of 2004 all of the More FM stations changed to use the Centralised Playlist, this created consistentcy between the More FM and LocalWorks stations preparing the LocalWorks stations to be rebranded as More FM at the end of 2004.
