[edit] Moving pages

Hi Lobex! A small tip regarding moving pages. You created the new article Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales and moved the content of YPF there instead of moving the page. The problem with this is that the history of the YPF article is kept in the (possible soon to be disambiguation) old article. By moving an article, you automatically create a redirection from the original name to the new one, and the history is kept. No worries! I fixed it already. Please, visit the Argentine Notice Board and share your contributions with the rest of the Wikipedians working on Argentine articles. Welcome aboard, Mariano(t/c) 07:53, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Potential copywrite violation

I was reading the article on the IAe Pulqui II and noticed that the majority of it was copied without much editing from [1]. This appears to be outright copyvio. However it does appear you made at least SOME attempt to edit it, so I'd like you to comment/edit before I put up a copyvio notice.

[edit] Mensaje de un wikipedista norteamericano

¡Saludos, compañero de Wikipedia! I'm coming to Argentina soon and wanted to see if any of my fellow Wikipedians were interested in meeting up, etc...I'm flying into BsAs on Jan. 25th and I don't know many people there, so if you'd be into talking/getting together, let me know. Feel free to leave a message on my user page...seeya around - Paul 23:32, 3 January 2006 (UTC) P.S. I share your belief that neoliberalism has been a disaster for Argentina (although I personally believe that it is a false liberalism and is marketed as something that it isn't...either way, good to see others who are skeptical of "The System."

[edit] Segunda República Española

Hola muy buenas! El manifiesto que puse en la talk page lo puedes encontrar fácilmente en la página web del partido político Izquierda Unida, en uno de los proyectos titulados Memoria Histórica. Un saludo compañero! Raystorm 09:14, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re Firefox

Thanks! Yeah I made the Firefox logo because there was a lot of back-and-forth about using variations of logos that belong to Mozilla. I would have suggested it for the template but I guess we are basically clearing out template space of userboxes. Herostratus 18:43, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Pulqui II.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Pulqui II.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Developing country

Feel free to add your sources, but don't erase mines. Those sources indicate and elaborate in that NIC is an intermediate stage between developing and developed countries. If you want to include your sources, also don't erase other well referenced sources, because as you acuse me of vandalism, that is also vandalism. 189.154.13.36 19:22, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Bajofondo tango club cover.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Bajofondo tango club cover.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:11, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
