[edit] Importance

What makes this Jubilee significant enough to have an article by itself? Or is the intention to have an article for every single loco in the class? (I think there were 191 of them.) Personally I'd say the notable locos in this class were the four preserved locos, Silver Jubilee for being the first of the class, the two rebuilt locos, plus I think one Jubilee which was the last steam engine to haul the Royal Train before the end of steam.

I'm not going to nominate it for deletion myself, but I'd be interested to know what others think. — Tivedshambo (talk to me/look at me/ignore me) —  21:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, if we're going to have an article on the steam-powered Perseverance that limped along for about an hour or so (which we have for over a year), I figured we could also have an article on the one that actually ran for decades. I'm not at all a train expert, but when I was looking into the original Perseverance, a lot of hits were for this one. So I figured, what the hell. Is there some "locomotives notability guideline" that says it shouldn't have been made? I mean, clearly people have heard of it. They even sell model parts for it on eBay, so somebody is interested in it. (Not me, though; if you want to AfD it, I won't object. Might set a dangerous precedent for train afficionados, though.)
