LM Glasfiber is the world’s leading manufacturer of wind turbine blades. The company's goal is to further strengthen this position by building on competitive blade technology and global reach.
LM Glasfiber has approximately 4,700 employees worldwide (2007). The head offices are located in Lunderskov, Denmark. The company has blade production and service units at 12 locations in 8 countries: Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the United States(Grand Forks, North Dakota, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Chicago, Illinois), Canada, India and China. In addition to this, LM Glasfiber also has a global network of R&D centres.
The principal shareholders of LM Glasfiber are the Doughty Hanson & Co. Ltd. partnerships. Doughty Hanson & Co. is a company incorporated in England and Wales and headquartered in London. It is the intention of the shareholders to work towards a listing of the company on a stock exchange.
LM Glasfiber has produced more than 105,500 blades since 1978. Today, more than one in every three wind turbines in operation throughout the world is fitted with LM Glasfiber blades.
