[edit] Left Pant Leg

I don't see anywhere in the article about LL Cool J's signature of rolling up his left pant leg; where's the beef?!

[edit] Cut Creator

I understand that Cut Creator was LL Cool J's DJ, but the article doesn't seem to mention him and he doesn't have an article. Can we get a mention here or turn the above link blue please? --kingboyk 15:11, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

LL's Age

LL Cool J is not 65 please fix this if anyone knows his real age. Thanks!!!

[edit] Sexy Abs?

I hope no one is sprinkling this article with subjective adjectives. I'm changing it to "well-defined" abs, if anything.--Htmlism 15:13, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sang

He sang in a choir can he sing has anyone ever heard him sing.Is he any good?

Yeah,that's better I think. Kelsie.&adores;.You

[edit] No reference to the "Jingling Baby" remix?

It's only the single that brought back LL's lost street credibility after the fallout from Walking With A Panther. Mind you, I am referring to the remix that eventually appeared on Mama Said Knock You Out, not the original from Walking With A Panther. Could someone add that part in?

[edit] Poorly written...

I suggest several articles receive re-writes. Several albums that, over time, have gone platinum have been stated as "not going platinum".

Also, the chronological statements of several events conflict with reality.

Not to mention, "Bigger and Deffer" and "Mama Said..." both sold over 3 million copies.

I'd do this myself if I had the time.

[edit] Sodomized???

Where are the citations that state LL Cool J was sodomized as a child? Also where are citations that reference him dating Kidada Jones? He has, after all, been with his current wife for years and years.

The sodomizing is cited earlier in the text, it is stated that LL wrote about this in his autobiography. And it is true, as I've read the book, myself. ThePacMan 22:36, 26 October 2006 (UTC) In the book also states his relationship with Kidada Jones.

I read the book too, and LL Cool J never said he was raped. I took it out because it's just plain made up. If someone can post the passage in the book with the page number where it says he was sodomized, please do. Otherwise, I'm taking it out again. Richard Corey 04:59, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if anyone will have a problem with this, I doubt it really, but i think the Risk comparrison to his family's relationship turmoil is pointless. So, I'm going to remove it. If someone really disagress, message me. JIMRH4

[edit] LL Cool J's Platinum Body

I'm not sure but I've heard that this book has been realized. The artice should be updated accordingly. Sorry, I can't do this myself because I don't know the details. Elfalem 18:46, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Date Questioning

The article has Smith being born in 1942. Is this correct? .Absolution. 14:35, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Acting Roles

I understand that most of his career has been focused in the music industry, but I find this article glosses over his acting career. This is important, as I am sure there are many people out there who may not listen to his genre of music, and may have become familiar with him from his television or movie roles. Can someone make a specific section for his acting history, and perhaps eliminate the seemingly insignificant statements which have been sprinkled through the music history? An example of this would be 'He starred in In the House, an NBC sitcom, before releasing Mr. Smith (1995), which went on to sell over 2 million copies.' SJM 11 February 2007

Excellent idea, perhaps you could take the lead on this effort? Eli lilly 16:46, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] lead photo

I added a free photo, but kinda like these ones as well and wonder if they could be incorporated in the article:

I don't really care which one is used and leave this to the editorial judgment of this article's authors. -- mav 03:49, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Part2BackToCool2.PNG

Image:Part2BackToCool2.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:16, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] loungin' remix

Hi there. I am trying to figure out what exactly is the "official" name of the song Loungin featuring Total. There are several variations on the web and even here on Wikipedia:

  • In All World: Greatest Hits it is called Loungin (Who Do Ya Luv). By the way, this article seems to state that the remix was launched in "All World: Greatest Hits" while the original song was launched in "Mr. Smith"; this contradicts with Mr. Smith (album) on which (in the "track listing" section) it looks like the remix (by the name Loungin) was published as track #10 of "Mr. Smith" (unless the original song also featured Total), and later (on the "samples" section) makes it seem like the two tracks were published in the same album with slightly different names, Loungin' (the original) and Lounging' Remix (Summer Luv) (the remix)
  • In Total (band), the song goes by the name Loungin'/Who Do U Love? and then Loungin' (Who Do U Love?) later on
  • Finally, in it comes up as Loungin' (Who Do You Luv?) (in the "as guests" section), Loungin'/Who Do U Luv? (in the "guest vocals" section) and Loungin' (Who Do U Love?) (in the "music videos" section)

These are really too many variants. The official name has to be set and these articles edited to conform to it. Can someone help clarify this issue? --Waldir talk 14:03, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

The track's legal name is "Loungin", as reported by BMI (work #3993931). Eli lilly (talk) 12:09, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
