Liza Richardson is a music supervisor on numerous films and TV shows, and is currently a DJ on her weekly Saturday evening radio show on KCRW, an eclectic music and NPR news radio station based in Santa Monica, California. Her music supervisor credits include the critically-acclaimed TV show Friday Night Lights, films Lords of Dogtown, Y Tu Mama Tambien (which garnered her a Grammy nomination), Nacho Libre (music consultant), Failure to Launch, Wicker Park and The Hunting Party. In February 2007, she was tapped to be the first DJ to spin for the Academy Awards ceremony.
Liza studied dance at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan.
