[edit] Definition of terms

A City in China is different from that in U.S. or Europe. In the western countries, a city is an area that has its own governing body, and is slightly smaller in geographical sense than a county.

In China, however, a county is the 3rd smallest geo-political entity after town and village. Usually, a county belongs to a part of a city and is governed by the mayor of the city.
