Beate Chelette (born September 30, 1964) is a German born immigrant who came to the United States in 1989. Currently Chelette works as a Consultant and public speaker. She is writing a book about "Women Who Want It All And Get It, Too" featuring her unique concept of egoRHYTHM.
After receiving a photography degree in Munich, Germany in 1984 she was on the start-up teams for “Wiener” magazine a young, hip publication that was acquired by Bauer Publishing, followed by “Elle” a joint venture of Burda Publishing and Hachette Fillipacci, in the capacity as the photo editor. After moving to the United States she set up her own business, Beate Works, Inc. in 1993 and offered creative services for ad agencies and photographers as a rep and producer. Following market demands she refocused her business on licensing commercial, residential and celebrity at-home images, becoming quickly the worlds leading high-end interiors stock photography provider.
Chelette made her name in niche imagery for advertising and publishing, specifically in the Celebrity At-Home segment (now Outline@home) that showcases hard to find celebrity homes. Her business has been defined by uniqueness, quality and positive expression. Beateworks images have been used in ads for financial institutions, consumer electronics, builder’s magazines, design and style publications—venues that require beautiful images of homes, interiors, architecture and style. In 2005 and 2006 Corbis and Beateworks licensed the brand-leading image for Coldwell Banker and publications such as Russia’s Architectural Digest have featured images of pop icon Madonna. In 2006 Chelette sold that company to Corbis, a company privately held by Bill Gates.
