Template talk:Live
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Usage
{{live}}
- Used to indicate an upcoming soon or ongoing live event for which realtime article updates are appropriate.
- When the event ends, template often will be replaced for a while with {{current}} due to a following trail of information.
Example: The 2006 Winter Olympic Games are presently upcoming. In 2005, they were marked as future. As their beginning nears, they can become current due to the constant flow of information during preparations. Shortly before they begin they can be marked as live, and upon their end return to current for a while.
- Note that live events are also current, but are expected to be events which are likely to cause a significant number of updates while taking place.

[edit] Removing VfD notice
Its VfD has been closed/dormant for a while now, and no admin has taken any measures based on its result, so I'm removing the VfD message. --Jacj 16:10, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
