[edit] Music video
There is no full-length music video for this song, though a shortened music video segment was shown as part of The Weird Al Show[1]
- The beginning is similar to the original video in that it shows a shot of an almost-naked Yankovic holding a zipper by his heart-covered boxers with half his body painted black (to give the effect he pulled down a zipper, unzipping his body.)
- The next scene shows Yankovic dressed as Steven Tyler and Jim West dressed as Joe Perry dancing in a giant tiled room.
- The following scene shows a glowing fridge covered in mist, which Yankovic subsequently opens to reveal a beating/breathing mass of moldy food.
[edit] Notes
- In the original song there is a period of silence following the line, "We'll I'd rather be a hangin' on." In Livin' in the Fridge the silence is filled with the sound of a refrigerator door being opened.[2]
- During the chorus the word "dysentery" can be heard being repeated in the background replacing the word "everybody" as heard in the original.
- During the second verse the sound "Ewww" replaces the sound "Ahhh."
