[edit] Music video

The video starts out with Carroll sitting in bed, listening to "Alyssa Lies" on stereo. A woman then turns off the stereo. Carroll and his lover are then driving a truck down to the beach. He then starts singing on the beach with his guitar. He is then seen, holding his woman close to him in the truck. Most scenes in the video show Carroll and his woman cuddling.

In the second verse, Carroll wraps a blanket around the woman and himself, while sitting on a beach towel in the sand. During the second chorus, the singer is taking his woman for a walk on a sand road on the beach. They are, then, driving the truck again.

During the final chorus, Carroll is loving his woman around a campfire. Shortly, while Carroll is singing, ( It feels good to prove 'em wrong. ), after the final chorus, the scene shows him and his lover walking on the water in the ocean.

The last scene, as the song ends, centers on the bracelet that Carroll wears in memory to a friend that died young.
