Liverpool Speedway

Liverpool Speedway, known as Liverpool City Raceway, was located in Green Valley, Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was opened in the late 60’s and ran until its closure in 1989. Many big name drivers raced at the venue including AJ Foyt, Jack Hewitt, Ole Olsen, Billy Sanders, Gary Rush and George and Brooke Tatnell. In 1982 Liverpool was host to the Speedway World Pairs Championship.
Today the site of the speedway is a shopping mall and housing development.
