Liverpool Christian Life Centre is a Pentecostal Christian church affiliated with Australian Christian Churches, the Assemblies of God in Australia. The church is located in Hoxton Park, a South-Western suburb of Sydney, Australia and holds three services, 9:00am, 10:45am and a 6:00pm service. The church main building consists of an auditorium which can sit approximately 1,500 people. The church also has a chapel, cafeteria and a gymnasium. It is attended by over 2,500 people each week. The church senior pastors are John and Carol McMartin.

The church was originally founded in 1952 as Liverpool Assembly of God at the Macquarie Arts Centre. After struggling for 29 years, the church closed down in 1981. The church was re-opened in 1982 by Brian Houston as Liverpool Christian Life Centre, planted out of the vision of Sydney Christian Life Centre pastored by Frank Houston. Soon after, Brian left the church to start Hills Christian Life Centre (now Hillsong Church) in Baulkham Hills. John and Carol McMartin from Albury became the senior pastors. The church has grown considerably to become one of largest churches in both Sydney and Australia. The church is currently attended by over 2,500 people each week and has 5,200 people who call it their home church.

Liverpool Christian Life Centre has released several albums, particularly in recent years. In 2002, the church recorded and released its first live worship album Because of You. In 2004, the church released a studio recorded album Shout. Several of the main worship team appeared on Youth Alive NSW albums and also have released solo albums. Intesifire 2007 marked the launch of the next Intensifire Album 'Resonate' which is also making its first International release in Europe, USA and Asia. The album features accomplished Christian Musicians such as Simon Refalo and 2003 Top 12 Australian Idol Finalist Rebekah LaVauney. The church has also released their first ever DVD/CD Album titled Only You which was released in early December of 2007, the album is said to be sold overseas as well as in Australia.

[edit] Intensifire

Intensifire is an annual conference held on October at Liverpool Christian Life Centre and is also held in Orange at the Christian Ministry Centre. Intensifire is emerging as one of Australia’s premier youth and young adult conferences.

Intensifire is a Youth and Young Adult conference which directs its attention on the next generation and equipping them with the power of God. Over the last five years Intensifire has gained huge momentum and God is using the conference to change lives. Intensifire is held over 3 days at Liverpool Christian Life Centre with international and national guest speakers each year. The conference is lead by Luke McMartin, the son of senior pastors John and Carol McMartin. The Intensifire Band has also released a number of albums. Intesifire 2007 marked the launch of the next Intensifire Album Resonate which is also making its first International release in Europe, USA and Asia.

Vantage Community Services is a non-profit organisation. The Managing Director of Vantage Community Services is Mike Meyer. Vantage Centres are places that people can go to for help, support and also counselling.

[edit] Sydney Training Institute

Sydney Training Institute is an initiative of Liverpool Christian Life Centre, located 40 minutes from Sydney CBD. The aim of the Institute is to equip leaders for an effective life of service in the Kingdom of God. The College is registered with VETAB and its courses are nationally accredited.
