Live In Tokyo is an album by Shellac that is one of their most coveted records as it was only released in Japan, and according to a website which quotes Bob Weston, the band's bassist, specific instructions were given "not to export it from Japan."[1] The set is a live recording from a concert held on November 20, 1993. The CD was released by the NUX Organization.
The CD has been widely distributed by fans on peer to peer sharing sites and torrent downloads, and there were only 500 pressings of the vinyl version, which has a white sleeve and the words "Shellac live in Tokyo" written in Katakana.
