Live from Austin, Texas is the first live album released by rock musician David Byrne, founding member of the groundbreaking New Wave band Talking Heads. The album is issued under the New West Records label and it was released on October 2, 2007. The CD contains a 13-track selection of songs recorded live in Texas during David Byrne's 2001 tour in support of the "Look Into the Eyeball" album, and the recordings have been heavily bootleged in mid-quality MP3 files among Byrne's fans community.

The album not only includes songs from his solo work, but also Talking Heads classics like "And She Was" and "Once in a Lifetime" and a Whitney Houston cover, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)".

This release is the first out of three David Byrne announced albums, the other two being the long-awaited remaster of the rare 1985 "Music for "The Knee Plays"" album and the soundtrack of the second season of "Big Love", an HBO original series. A DVD of "Live from Austin, Texas" was released on the same date as the CD.

Before its October 2 release, the album peaked #1 in live rock albums pre-orders in the US Amazon store.
