Live at the Marquee is an annual music festival which takes place in Cork, Ireland during the summer, usually over multiple days in June and July. The first such event occurred in 2005 when Cork was the official European Capital of Culture. It was then decided to continue with the event in the years that followed. In 2007 the event decided to relocate from Monaghan Road to The Docklands on Centre Park Road in Cork. The festival consists of a number of separate events each headlined by a different artist and each with their own ticket prices. It has been highly successful and attracted many well-known names in the music industry to perform including Kanye West, Elton John, 50 Cent, Diana Ross,Bob Dylan, Faithless, Roger Waters, Christy Moore, Al Green and Brian Wilson. 2008 will feature Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, Jay-Z, Morrissey, Neil Young and Paul Simon amongst others. Live at the Marquee is produced by Aiken Promotions.[1]
