Live XXX TV
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Live XXX TV was an interactive televised sex line aired in many mainland western European nations on Sky Digital (UK & Ireland) channel 995. [edit] Concept
The channel was people between the hours of 9pm and 11:30pm each night, with a subscription required thereafter until 5:30am.
Usually live, it featured two women on the main screen, with between two and four "sub-screens" on the right hand side, with "Babe number #" and a telephone to the right of the girl. Viewers were encouraged to ring a premium rate number to talk to the girl, with the girl remaining viewable and sexually provocative.
The girls on the main screen, who also took telephone calls on given nights and swapped positions from main screen to sub screen, informed the viewer of telephone numbers and encouraged the viewer to call the girls. The girls also read premium rate text messages sent in by viewers, and performed acts usually of a sexually orientated nature.
Between the hours of 9pm and 10pm the girls were usually in bikinis (although the watershed is 9pm and upper body nudity is allowed). The girls could flash their breasts, but usually kept their bikinis on. Between 10pm and 11pm, the girls were usually nude, although still wearing thongs. At 11pm a warning message was shown to inform the viewer the show may be sexually explicit, and the girls on the main screen usually removed their thongs, or the channel would go full-screen with all girls (usually around four) on a large bed on the telephones, and the viewer could hear what they are saying to the phone in viewer (the girl may be heard, but not the person phoning in), which might be sexually explicit.
[edit] FTG
One aspect that was unique to the channel compared to its UK peers was the 'FTG' feature. At around 11:28pm the main screen took up the whole screen, the girls who were on the telephones from the sub screens came onto the main screen, removed their thongs and either bent over or expose their frontal, to the camera. The camera then pans across the various girls exposing their vaginas (which they promoted as FTG - "Flash the gash"). The channel then showed a blue screen for non subscription viewers, or continued on eventually to the late show for subscribed customer viewers of the channel.
As of 2006, this feature was phased out from the channel for unspecified reasons, although the on-screen incoming text messages continued to make references to 'FTG'.
