[edit] Gai County

There doesn't seem to be a Gai County in Liaoning: List of administrative divisions of Liaoning Badagnani 02:37, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Beginning from 1990s, many counties in China were upgraded to cities. Apparently, Gai county was upgraded to Gaizhou city which is in the list. For another instance, the Xin county in Shangxi province was upgraded to Xinzhou city. It seems to be a rule that when a county name has only one character, the character, zhou, is added to its name when it is upgraded to a city. --Roland 08:53, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
