Liudolf of Lotharingia

Liudolf (also called Ludolf) of Lotharingia, count of Zütphen, military commander of the army of the archbishop of Cologne, protector of the abbeys of Brauweiler, Münster and Borghorst, Count of Waldenberg (born in Saxe about 1000, died 10 April 1031, buried in Brauweiler Abbey)

He was the son of Ezzo, Count Palatine of Lotharingia, and he married Mathilde of Zütphen and they had issue:

  • Heinrich, d.1031;
  • Adelheid, heiress of Zütphen, Waldenburg, etc. (born in Zütphen, Guelderland, about 1030). She married Godeschalk, count von Zütphen, (born Germany about 1030, k.a.1063/4).
