Liu Chuanzhi

Liǔ Chuánzhì (Traditional Chinese: 柳傳志; Simplified Chinese: 柳传志) (April 29, 1944 —) is a Chinese businessman. Liu was head founder of the large computer international company Lenovo.

Liu founded Lenovo (whose English name was originally Legend, in Chinese 联想 Lianxiang), in 1984 with a group of ten other engineers in Beijing with 200,000 yuan. The listed holding company was incorporated in 1988 in Hong Kong.

He attended the People's Liberation Army Institute of Telecommunication Engineering, now Xidian University.
