The fact is, I appreciate your additions to the Stewart O'Nan article--it was badly in need of some further substance, which you provided. All I was trying to do was keep it correctly formatted and encourage proper citation. But I didn't need to be so curt about it. Please continue to contribute to Wikipedia--there are endless numbers of book and author articles that need improvement, or that need to be created. Again, welcome. --ShelfSkewed Talk 18:54, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] NewBee
I am a NewBee to Wikipedia. I decided to add to an article about someone or something I was very enthusiastic about. Stewart O'Nan is my favorite author. In the process of editing the entry I did try to wade my way through the instructions and to keep to the standards in other entries. So thank you for the links to relevant articles on editing. I heard the two quotes at the speech he gave at my library. I could not find a appropriate citation format for speeches so I tried my best.
Your apology is accepted. In this anonymous world of the web it is very easy to be harsh or critical to someone you know you will never meet and if you were the original editor of this article you may have felt a little like someone messed with your baby.
