I put it back to nearest town because It seems to be a town to me, but I am not a local, so if some knows if it is officially a town, or wants to cover the controversy about whether it is a town or village, perhaps on the tideswell page, please feel free to edit it accordingly.Dolive21 10:47, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I've replaced "praised for it's food" with "serves food and real ale". Since the pub changed hands it serves basic pub grub rathan than restaurant-style food. The quality of the beer is very good though. I have a caravan on the site at the back of the pub so go there regularly. --Wildnorthlands 08:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC) Simon

I was not aware it changed hands. It seemed to be run by the same people earlier this year, when I was last there. The food was very good, especialy the steak and kidney pudding. When did it change hands. Dolive21 09:35, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
