For the record, here is the news blurb that made en.wiki main page news: "Amid an outbreak of tornadoes and derechos in central and eastern North America, a tornado hits a Boy Scout camp in Iowa, killing four."... RlevseTalk 22:27, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notability

With all due respect to the deceased, is this notable for reasons beyond the tornado hit? --Christopherlin (talk) 03:32, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes, and as time goes on, even more info about it will be coming out. There are several articles on council level Scout camps like this one, right now it's just that the focus is on the tornado. I also think this is very well documented makes it notable. Larry King spent 30 minutes on this last night. I'm also sure that many heroism awards will be forthcoming as all reports on the behavior of the Scouts and Scout Leaders have been very complementary. I do agree the non-tornado side of the article needs work, please allow time for that. RlevseTalk 09:59, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
