Talk:Little Jimmy Dickens
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jimmy put out a song (recitation) about ten years ago I think was titled "Letter to Santa" where a little boy wrote a letter to Santa to give all of his gifts to a less fortunate boy he knew. I work for Little Jimmy Dickens and he asked me to find the writer of this recitation. I would appreciate any help I can get from this post.

[edit] Bryants
Could a Dickens expert please add to the songlist at Felice and Boudleaux Bryant? --Design 09:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
I agree that this is a poorly written and not too informative entry. What was his impact on country music? Why was he inducted into the Hall of Fame? What was his best-selling album? What about him made the world want to go to his shows? I approached this entry not knowing a lot about the man other than a few songs (which I was not that impressed with). Needless to say, this entry has not changed my opinion.
[edit] Relations
I am actually somewhat related to Jimmy Dickens. My grandmother's sister is married to Jimmy's cousin. Skosem 16:35, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Much of the text in this article comes from [1] and should probably be rewritten to avoid copyright problems. Tom Duff 17:14, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Birthday
imdb.com lists his birth year as 1925. Matthew Meta 07:05, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- The Country Music Hall of Fame lists it as 1920. In my opinion, the Hall of Fame is more reliable than IMDB. Adam McMaster 08:49, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
I remember Little Jimmy Dickens and Little Brenda Lee appearing on The Orange Blossom Special tv shou out of Augusta, Ga. I don/t remember the year but around 1951 or 1952. Am I the only one that remembers this??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.149.43.33 (talk) 01:36, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
