The name is Byrd, not Boyd. No wonder I couldn't find it by searching on "Byrd"!

Most of what I know about Byrd is culled from my Grade 5 history textbook (I was in Grade 5 in 1969-1970, and the textbook appears to date from the late 1950s or early 1960s).

I have added a bit more, but that textbook is not handy to me right now, so I can't add much more.

It seems Little America went to Davy Jones in 1987, but that's only tangentially mentioned here. Could it be made more explicit? Xenophon777 02:41, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
