[edit] Notability / cleanup
I just took my first look at this article and seems someone put {{notability}} there.
I think LCMS passes WP:SOFTWARE criteria pretty well:
- It's one of the few widely used CMS libraries used in open source world,
- It's used by many notable packages such as GIMP and Scribus (as far as I know),
- By those virtues, it's also included in many Linux distributions. In Debian, it's as liblcms1, and as of writing is ranked #188 in popcon by install count, out of 56013 packages, which means it's pretty darn important if you ask me =)
The article needs cleanup though to remove somewhat rambling tone and a bit clumsy language - and also explain the notability. I'll be tagging it accordingly and will, time permitting, look at how this thing could be improved shortly. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 10:47, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Comment
Feel free to clean it up... I did the rambling tone and added the clumsy language, although I did so in a sincere attempt to quickly establish a few credible references, due to the questioned notability of LCMS. Apologies for not being able to express myself eloquently in English, which is not my mother tongue ;-) Maybe I should just add a proper page on LCMS in Danish... -- Per.
