[edit] Manufacturers

This paragraph is riddled with spelling mistakes. Awien (talk) 07:55, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I've done a little digging myself using google.de. No hits at all for Prensaich Porzellan; probably mistranscribed from Preussische. Under Plaue, many hits for Porzellanmanufactur-Plaue. For Porzellanmanufactur Berlin, we get Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, Berliner Porzellan-Manufaktur, and Staatliche Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin. For Koniglichen Preussische Manufaktur we find Königlich Preussische Porzellan-Manufaktur, apparently in Berlin, not Meissen, while adding Meissen to the search terms gets us Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen.

My German is not good enough, however, to do the thorough research needed before I would change the article. Hope this helps. Awien (talk) 14:18, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for looking into this. I do not know German at all - so your German is superior to mine! I am sure the research you found is correct. As you can see I got this from reference # 6. Feel free to make any changes that you feel would improve the article. --Doug talk 14:38, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
I suggest limiting mention to these two: Königlichen Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin and Porzellanmanufactur Plaue, which exist and are referred to in the German Wikipedia article Lithophanie. Don't have time to find better refs right now. Awien (talk) 16:59, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
On the other hand, here's one: http://www.porzellanmanufactur-plaue.com/sw_de/pl/geschichte/geschichte.htm
