[edit] Proposed deletion
In removing proposed deletion IP 24.180.20.170 said: (Listed only the facts about this product. How can Zeus Technology and Zeus Web Server pages exist and not LiteSpeed? Look at "Comparison of web servers" for LiteSpeed and other "companies".
The answer is that the Zeus Web Server artilces have an objective POV and do not use phrases like "fast becoming one of the leading platforms" which read like a promotional piece instead of encyclopedic fact. For example, sentences like "According to Netcraft May 2006 web server survey, LiteSpeed is trusted to power over 254,000 unique websites." could and should be reworked to something more like "According to Netcraft May 2006 web servAer survey, over 254,000 websites are running on LiteSpeed platforms." The phrase "providing technology solutions that enable faster internet content delivery to reduce costs for large web sites, service providers, and enterprise data centers." reads more like a corporate double-speak mission statement than an objective description of company operations.
I would not hold up the article on Zeus Technology as any paragon of objectivity. There is much in that article that needs reworking, but it does actually discuss the company's business, and some of its ups and downs.
I am not saying that an article on Litespeed Technologies and LiteSpeed Web Server should not exist. I am saying that this article, as it presently exists, needs to be rewritten from an objective point of view or it will continue to fail to meet Wikipedia neutrality standards. [edit] Response
The phrase "providing technology solutions that enable faster internet content delivery to reduce costs for large web sites, service providers, and enterprise data centers." has been removed and replaced with pure fact based on Netcraft data. I hope this is okay. This is DiegoMontoya but unfortunatley I lost my account password.
[edit] Like name companies
www.litespeed.net refer to itself via logo and other prominent lins as "LiteSpeed Internet Solutions". But it also confuses it further as it has in the past referred to itself as LiteSpeed Technologies, LTD.
[edit] Merger of the web server
Both articles are short, and this one covers almost all the information that the LiteSpeed Web Server article has in it. --Bejnar 23:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding the ability of using Apache httpd.conf and pairing with hosting control panels
The best way to verify it is to try it yourself, it is not hard to do if you have the environment or ask a friend who happen to run a hosting company to try it. Tutorial is available in the wiki section of their web site. Another way to verify it is to search what people talked about it, google terms like "litespeed cPanel", "litespeed directadmin", "litespeed Apache", etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.39.248.126 (talk) 23:29, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- We can not "try it ourself" for the purpose of the article. That's original research. Feel free to provide a reliable citation (e.g. from the company's site) instead. Superm401 - Talk 04:47, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
