Portal talk:Lithuania/Guest book

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

H Padleckas - a member of both the English and Lithuanian Wikipedias by identical User names. This portal mentioned the Geographical Center of Europe. I originally wrote an article which I called Geographical Center of Europe for the English Wikipedia stating that the center was in Lithuania and I wrote the equivalent article lt:Europos Geografinis Centras for the Lithuanian Wikipedia. In the photo present in both English and Lithuanian articles, the woman standing near the center is my mother. Last time I looked, the Lithuanian article was still there. Since I originally wrote it, "my" English article has been merged with Geographic Centre of Europe, which mentions several other candidate locations for the center.

Sometimes, I like making pictures. In addition to numerous other pictures (mentioned on my English Wikipedia Talk page), I did a couple map translations as follows: I took the English map of Russia from the English Wikipedia and translated the names into Lithuanian where you can now see it in the Lithuanian Wikipedia. I also took the Lithuanian map of the Curonian Lagoon and Spit and translated into English, where you can now see it in the Curonian Spit and Curonian Lagoon articles, where I also made a few contributing edits. I made the diagrams in the Lithuanian Wikipedia articles lt:Koordinaciu sistema and lt:Kristalas.

I wrote the corresponding articles Vilnius Cathedral and lt:Vilniaus Katedra in the English and Lithuanian Wikipedias, respectively (although they are short), and I wrote Laisves Aleja in the English Wikipedia but have not started a corresponding article in the Lithuanian Wikipedia yet. I started the Lithuanian Wikipedia articles lt:Kuršiu Nerija, lt:Obuoliai which was moved to lt:Obelis, lt:Citrina, lt:Apelsinas, lt:Greipfrutas, and lt:Bananas, although they've been expanded since I wrote them.
