Littleton, Guildford

Littleton is a hamlet in Surrey, in the United Kingdom. It lies west of Artington, between Guildford to the north and Godalming to the south, strung along Littleton Lane.

Litlteton is now a hamlet, which consists of Loseley House, Orange Court, Orange Court Farm, and a few cottages. It falls within the ecclesiastical parish of Shalford and in the Artington civil parish

At the time of the Domesday Book Littleton was held by Wulwi, a huntsman, who is stated to have held it in King Edward’s time.

Littleton is home to Loseley House, a fine Elizabethan stately home built in 1562 by Sir William More (a direct ancestor of the current owner) at the request of Queen Elizabeth I.
