Littleport is a townsite and former city in Clayton County, Iowa, United States. The population was 26 at the 2000 census. After the Volga River flood of May 16, 1999 much of the town was destroyed and most residents moved away. The city was officially disincorporated in 2005.[1]

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 26 people, 13 households, and 8 families residing in the city. The population density was 78.0 people per square mile (30.4/km²). There were 14 housing units at an average density of 42.0/sq mi (16.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.
There were 13 households out of which 23.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.5% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.8% were non-families. 30.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.00 and the average family size was 2.44.
In the city the population was spread out with 15.4% under the age of 18, 15.4% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 42.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 54 years. For every 100 females there were 85.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $23,125, and the median income for a family was $46,250. Males had a median income of $51,250 versus $13,750 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,237. There were no families and 15.8% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 20.0% of those over 64.
