Little Switzerland was a ski resort in Slinger, Wisconsin with 15 runs, 5 chairlifts and 2 rope tows, featuring a front side and a back side to the hill, with different attractions on each side. It opened on the same day as Pearl Harbor attack, December 7, 1941 with its last day of operation occurring on March 10, 2007, serving southeast Wisconsin for over 65 years.
It's equipment was auctioned off piece by piece on August 17, 2007 by Badger Auctions.[1] Jay Herte refused the first offer of the ski area land of $1.9 million on the morning of the auction by bidders on site. They have still retained the property and would sell it for an acceptable offer.
Little Switzerland also had Bavarian Bar Room at the bottom of the hill, with snack bar and kitchen service.
