Little Rock School District

The LRSD is a school district in Little Rock, Arkansas. Currently, the district includes 64 schools with more school being built. As of the 2005-2006 school year, the district has enrollment of 26,524. It has 5 high schools, 8 middle schools, 31 elementary schools, 1 early childhood (pre-kndergarten) center, 1 alternative school, 1 adult education center, 1 accelerated learning center, 1 career-techinal center, and about 3,800 employees.

  • Badgett Elementary School (Closed after the end of the 2001-2002 school year, and was used temporarily to teach Wakefield Elementary, Mitchell Academy, and Cloverdale Elementary students after their campuses closed.)
  • Cloverdale Elementary School (This school closed in fall of 2005 due to structural problems, and is scheduled for demolition.)
  • Garland Elementary School (Closed at the end of the 2000-2001 school year).
  • Mitchell Academy Elementray School (Closed at the end of the 2004-2005 school year.)
  • Rightsell Academy Elementary School (Scheduled to close after the 2005-2006 school year)
