Little Motel is a song by the band Modest Mouse. It is the third single to be released from the album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
The music video for "Little Motel" is in reverse, as in the video for Coldplay's "The Scientist." No members of the band are shown in it, just a mother with her son, who in the end of the video we find was dying, in the hospital. The monitor flatlines and she takes him, leaving the hospital, and eventually taking him to a motel, where she places him in the bed. It is unsure if the boy is dead or she is watching him sleep.
The song refers to distance between two lovers, whereas the video covers the separation from a mother and son. The video was directed by Justin Francis.
