Lithuania will take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2007. National selection will take part during the show "Mažųjų žvaigždžių ringas" (Young Stars Ring 3), in which young singers aged 10-15 will take part with self written songs. 2nd edition of the show ended on 3rd of June, 2007, and was won by 17 year old Laura Zigmantaite. Dates for the next edition of the show have not yet been set. [1] [2]. In Junior Eurovision 2007 Lithuanian entry was "Kai miestas snaudzia (When the town is asleep)" by Lina Joy and this entry won 13th place.
Lithuania confirmed the participation in Junior Eurovision 2008.
