LiteSpeed Technologies Inc. is based in New Jersey, USA. It is an information technology company that produces web server software designed specifically for large web sites, such as those of Internet service providers and corporate data centers.
LiteSpeed Technologies Inc. was founded in 2002 by George Wang.[1]

LiteSpeed Web Server is the company's core product, a lightweight web server, which is able to read Apache configuration directly and used together with web hosting control panels by replacing Apache.[citation needed] According to a Netcraft May 2006 web server survey, LiteSpeed powered over 254,000 domains and was the 6th most popular web server platform in the world.[2] It has since fallen to the 19th position as of August 2007, with its customer base falling below 150,000,[3] then risen to the 11th position as of January 2008, with its customer base raising above 430,000.[4]
LiteSpeed Web Server is available for Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, and FreeBSD.
This company also provides a product called "LiteSpeed LoadBalancer".[5]
