[edit] Abigail Kintanar
She's not a dominatrix, but she played one on TV.
Abigail Kintanar's humble beginnings can be traced back to April 2005 when PAX-TV cast her to star in her own reality show "Xtreme Fakeovers." This not only marked Abigail "Gail" Kintanar's debut on cable television, but the network featured her to star in her own episode titled "Star Discovery."
By June 2005, she lands her second reality show when DISCOVERY HEALTH cast her to star in her own episode "Gail and Mark" for the reality series "Love on the Rocks."
Abigail Kintanar is now famously known for her roles as CelebReality Star "Red Oyster" of VH1's "Flavor of Love" and as a "Charm School" Alternate. She reprises her role as "Red Oyster" in several network television cameo appearances - VH1's Big in '06 Awards, "Flavor of Love" (The Reunion), "Flavor of Love" (Season 2), NBC's "Identity," FUSE TV's "Pants-Off, Dance-Off" and her most memorable and shocking moment when she voluntarily eliminated herself from Flavor of Love was a highlight on E!'s Talk Soup when the host recaps the series first shocking twist when Flavor Flav bids a tearful and hesitant goodbye when Red Oyster bows out of the competition. She solidified her "Reality Show Star" status by appearing on "Details Magazine" for their "Reality Stars" Issue, "Life & Style" Magazine and makes headline news on The Signal (Lifestyles Section) dedicating the front page of their February Valentines Day Edition in honor of her obsession for the color red and attempt to set a world record with Guinness by wearing red everyday for 8 years to date.
Dubbed as the Most Infamous Filipina on Reality TV with her own reality episode, "All About Abby" on TFC's "Pinagmulan," she solidifies her controversially-clad CelebReality Vixen status on TFC's "Speak-Out" and joins the elite class of Filipino-American Celebrities, ranking #2 with them on Balitang America's List of 2006's Biggest Newsmakers.
While she is a mainstay Model for Vance McDaniel's True Image Concepts website, she has tried her hand in all aspects of the Entertainment industry. She hosted the Love4Leyte Benefit Concert @ The Grove in Anaheim working alongside Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, The Basco Bros. (Dante Basco, Dion Basco, Darion Basco and Derek Basco), Fil-Am Comedian JoKoy, DJ Rocky Rock, Hyphy Performer Nump, etc. She was the host of the US Theatrical Movie Premiere of ‘Wag Kang Lilingon and introduced the likes of Philippine-based stars Anne Curtis and Kristine Hermosa.
Abigail Kintanar was briefly featured on Fox 11 News, NBC's "Joey," "Las Vegas," and "West Wing," SHOWTIME's Huff, UPN's Half & Half, TLC's Untold Stories of the ER, FOX's The Inside, CBS's The Unit, MTV's Wild ‘N Out and if you look real closely, you'll catch her wearing yet another red outfit in Lindsay Lohan's Music Video "First."
Abigail also had the wonderful opportunity to work with Director James Olmos on HBO's made-for-tv film "Walk-Out," and Susan Lucci for the "Youthful Essence" Infomercial. You might even catch her as she appears in "Disney Secrets Revealed" showcased in Disney Parks around the world!
While she regards dating FLAVOR FLAV OF PUBLIC ENEMY as a skill on her headshot and resume, Abigail Kintanar will be the first to assure you that there is more to her than that of the conniving, conspiring and whip-holding dominatrix that has consequently been incarnated on national television. Abigail Kintanar graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Bakersfield with a BA in Communications, Mass Media, Law and Film. She graduated from College of the Canyons with an AA Media in Media Arts and Majored in Radio/Television/Video/Film. While). Therefore, because she has two degrees under her belt, Abigail Kintanar will be quick to concede and refute the fact that she IS also a shrewd, cunning and unscrupulous Machiavellian breezy who is capable of outwitting even the most highfalutin swain.
Translation: She's not a dominatrix, but she'll play like one in real life.

Flavor of Love is an American reality television dating game show starring Flavor Flav of the infamous rap group Public Enemy, co-starring with Abigail Kintanar whom he names Oyster in Episode 1 (as Flav told Abigail, "Do you know what Oyster's do to a man?"), but later becomes Red Oyster because she has worn red everyday consecutiveky for the past 8 years in an attempt to set a record with Guinness Book of World Records. Red Oyster was famously known for carrying a red whip around the mansion and was aptly known as the Dominatrix in Red by the other contestants/girls. Flavor of Love was part of VH1's Celebreality lineup and has proved to be the network's highest-rated and record-breaking reality show.
From the original 20 contestants, Flavor Flav5 eliminates 5 the first day. The remaining 15 Flavor of Love Ladies then live in a mansion and set out to prove their undying love for Flav by completing several challenges.
Flavor of Love's First Season Twist: One Girl Leaves and It Wasn't Who Flav Intended
Red Oyster's Most Shocking Moment
The surprising twist on Season 1 was when Red Oyster (Abigail Kintanar)[8] ) bowed out of the competition during the elimination ceremony and bids Flav goodbye
Red Oyster [9][10][11][12] [13][14] [15] shocked cable viewers in Episode 5 (What Happens in Flavor Stays in Flavor - aired January 29, 2006) when she interrupts Flav during the clock ceremony and announces that she is voluntarily eliminating herself from the competition to be with her father (who she learns to have been in a serious car accident just minutes before the elimination ceremony). Flav was saddened by Red Oyster's decision and consoled her by admitting that Red Oyster was slated to receive a clock that night! By eliminating herself, Red Oyster saves her best friend New York from elimination.

Episode 5: What Happens in Flavor Stays in Flavor - aired January 29, 2006 Flav takes the girls to Las Vegas to test their luck, literally, at a roulette table. Each girl is given $100 in chips and 10 minutes at the wheel. Several of the girls blow their entire stake in one roll. Flav is turned off by New York's jealous ways. While New York and Flav were on the date, Red Oyster and the rest of the girls went to a strip club. Hoopz is convinced Red Oyster is going to tattle on them for going there. When they return from Vegas, Flav organizes a "Five Senses" challenge. During the elimination ceremony at the end of the episode, Red Oyster announces that she is eliminating herself from the competition to be with her father, who she has just found out was in a serious car accident. Flav tells Red Oyster he is sorry to see her go because he would have saved her from elimination. New York and Hottie had not received clocks at that time, and were saved from elimination, even though one of them was scheduled to leave that night. New York was troubled because she desperately wanted to know if she would have received a clock or not.

Red Oyster Cult: The Following of Filipino-American Celebrity, Abigail Kintanar (by M.L.Lee)
Abigail appears on her own reality episode "All About Abby" on TFC's "Pinagmulan: The Journey Home"
With 3 TFC shows under her belt, ABS-CBN's global network plug of "Pinagmulan: The Journey Home" jokingly dubbed Abigail Kintanar a.k.a. Red Oyster of VH1's Flavor of Love as the "MOST FAMOUS FILIPINO IN REALITY TV." This statement was purposely detracted within seconds as she was facetiously crowned the more appropriate title-"MOST INFAMOUS FILIPINA IN REALITY TV." Speaking with Miss Abigail during a follow-up interview, she briefly mentioned that her show's Executive Producer playfully validated the network’s concern that her own episode “All About Abby” would irrevocably suffer in light of the fact that her cheeky, irreverent and comically sacrilegious "assets" may be viewed by the Filipino community as debilitating, rather than engaging. Abigail’s inclination to a frivolous or flippant style of treating her subjects must have been pardoned by others because of her ensuing roguish smile, but in viewing the show "Pinagmulan," jaws will drop (Filipino or not Filipino), but the genius of Abigail Kintanar was made present in the crafty delivery - a strategic manipulation of her own audacity to that of an effervescent, yet hearty mistreatment of one homeless girl who was featured to be her "Little Sister for the Day." Needless to say, it was made apparent that the family-oriented network acquiesced to her alter ego's (Red Oyster's) take on life and found comfort on “heavy bleeping” as a last resort to mask Abigail's excessive use of foul language and outlandish remarks (as she was best known for during her stint as the cunning Red Oyster on VH1's "Flavor of Love").
Her witty performance, natural ability and capacity; or better yet, her strong inclination to poke fun of anything and anyone, even the most unfortunate, is indeed a deliberate departure from traditional Filipino values, but airing "All About Abby" to a global audience proved to be a risk TFC (ABS-CBN, Intl.) was worth taking because surprisingly enough, "All About Abby" actually received an unforeseen amount of positive comments. So much so that one of the letters received was a wedding proposal to Abigail, from a television viewer who although having recently gone through heart surgery, remarked on his undying affliction for the show's star.
Abigail joins the elite club of Filipino-American Celebrities who rank #2 on TFC's "Balitang America's" countdown of "2006's Biggest Newsmakers"
It is no wonder that Abigail Kintanar was subsequently featured on TFC's "Balitang America" ranking #2 (along with other Filipino-American celebrities like Apl de Ap) as one of the "Biggest Newsmakers of 2006."
After starring in her own reality show on TFC's "Pinagmulan" and being featured on "Balitang America" as one of the "Biggest Newsmakers of 2006," it must be Abigail's non-conforming individualism that subsequently paved the way for a 3rd stint on ABS-CBN's Global Network when she reprised her role as "Red Oyster" and appeared as a celebrity guest panelist for TFC's debate show "Speak-Out." Speak-Out solidified her controversially clad character as commercial clips previewed Red Oyster being held back by one of the show's hosts as if a brawl were about to erupt onstage when she took to her feet and challenged one of the opposing panelists.
Abigail reprises her role as "Red Oyster" and appears as a celebrity guest panelist for TFC's "Speak-Out"
One of the opposing panelists was quick to confirm that he regarded Oysta's (as he called her) tough as nails exterior as ironically “real” and recognized that her playfulness (which Abigail calls "profound name calling") is probably a genuine attempt to connect with the varying fleet of personalities constantly surrounding her by assigning terms of endearment, albeit in the form of camouflaged affection by means of profane terms.
Before the end of the Hyphy episode, when this same self-proclaimed Bay area rapper inquired what it is that "Red Oyster" does for a living, Abigail did not hesitate and viciously interjected, "I'm a REALITY SHOW VIXEN!" with the same devious look and stealthy stance of rebuff she perpetuated and made famous on VH1's "Flavor of Love."
Speak-Out's Hyphy Episode aired March 18, 2007.
