[edit] Articles I've started
Split off from the veterinarian page Hip dysplasia
Background: I'm no medical expert. On researching a related topic for a client I came across this page and found it lacking. Rather than wait for s.o. else to act I decided to take up the cause. I'm still learning how to edit wikipedia. I'm absolutely not possessive of the topic. If you have medical background or can help with the formating and come across this, please lend a hand!! Images are also still missing and in odd places.
[edit] Other interests
- science
- Scifi (not the horror stuff, though)
- accounting (of necessity, not love for the subject)
- plants indigenous to Georgia (tearing up the English ivy and replanting with native stuff)
- native American topics
- cats (except pedigree breeds)
- Wikiversity
[edit] Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to contact me and answer some of my questions.
The images in the additions I had made to your article are all from the commons. The PAO x-ray is my own and the FO is a friends. I put them both up on the commons and did the necessary release. So we should be fine on that front.
I can certainly remove any you and your surgeon comments that is easy.
If you can give me some guidance on the reference side I can do that too.
As for the parents and child I think that that is where article should begin but I am really interested in adding in the adult stuff too. Being a woman in her late 20s who was diagnosed and then under went surgery - when I first started researching there was not much out there. Doctors give you the option of hip replacement which is not a good one. There are other options but diagnosis and treatment are time sensitive. So I think it is important to keep the baby/child stuff but I also think that adults need to be included. So that's my 2 cents. Let me know how you would like to proceed and I am happy to do the work. Again thank you for taking the time to write back to me.
