How can it be best selling albums by country if the sales totals are worldwide? The totals for each album on the list for USA best selling albums are worldwide totals. Therefore we shouldn't say by country because its worldwide. -Redwolf24 11:21 PM 6/5/2005

No, the USA list totals are just that. Sales within the USA. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" has sold 50million worldwide, but only 27m in the USA. Get it?

and what about the dark side of the moon said to be second best of all time? I wish i know the number 1

[edit] Category vs. List

I've been working on the categorization of lists and this one is presenting a problem. Currently this page is in the Lists of albums category but the sub-list pages are not. Generally when you have a list of lists like this is you'd put the individual lists into the correct categories and the master list of lists would only go in the List of lists category. But this is more like a sub-divided list and I'm not sure it would be an improvement to put all three of the sub-lists into the List of albums category instead of this one.

I think the best solution would be to turn this page into a sub-category of Lists of albums and each sub-list would be placed in the new category. Comments? --JeffW 18:55, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
