This list shows only 141 volcanoes in Chile, while other references talk about more than 2900 of them (see http://www.emol.com/especiales/volcanes/index.htm). So who is right? 3000 volcanoes would meen one every 1500 meters of longitudinal territory (if uniformly distributed along Chile) which is scary...
